SMHC Box 24 D22/2 Spiral bound notebook, handwritten in ballpoint, headed Ohlsen’s Almanack 1895, containing lists of boats registered in some English ports, arranged according to port of registration, by number eg GY1, 2 etc. with name of vessel, official number, tonnage, whether sail etc, date and place of build, owner, some also with length and horse power, and net tonnage. Occasional additional notes eg paddle, carrier.

SMHC Box 25 D22/36 A3 typed. Poor photocopy of research by James Buckley, warden Trinity House Trust, into ship building industry in Scarborough, from 1786 onwards, but several earlier mentioned. Very difficult to read. Organised by builder. Towards end, list of ships built by Tindall shipyard 1770-1863, being closure of shipyard. Gives name, owner, date of launching, tons, rig, price of hull. Record copied by H.F. Tindall from an old record/shipwright journal found in office at Scarborough, October 1868, office destroyed by fire a few years later.
